Blue Manta affords Indonesia liveaboard holiday divers - world class luxury liveaboard diving at all the best Indonesia dive sites. Guests can pick from an array of high quality Indonesia scuba diving itineraries.

These include Komodo liveaboard dive trips from May to September, Banda Sea liveaboard diving through October & November and Raja Ampat liveaboard dive safaris from December to April.  KM Blue Manta also offer some five star Indonesia diving liveaboard crossing trips during the year embracing the likes of Maumere, Alor, Ring of Fire, Forgotten Islands and Ambon.

Additionally, on all Komodo diving liveaboard cruises, guests will have time to set foot on one of the islands and take a look at the legendary Komodo Dragons – one of the best parts of any Komodo scuba diving liveaboard holiday!

    On the day of departure free land transfers are included from Labuan Bajo Airport/Guest Hotels to the luxury Komodo liveaboard diving boat Blue Manta. IF (?) ALL guests arrive ahead of time, then KM Blue Manta can set sail early - and it may be possible to schedule both a check dive and a night dive.

    Blue Manta presents five star Indonesia liveaboard scuba diving itineraries, which embrace both the north and the south of Komodo – allowing Flores liveaboard divers to experience the very best scuba diving Komodo National Park has to offer! With 7 days/6 nights top class Komodo diving liveaboard cruises available, as well as 8 days/7 nights Komodo scuba diving liveaboard safaris guests will have the wonderful opportunity to sample the world class liveaboard diving Komodo has aplenty – with dives in the cooler waters of South Komodo (Indonesia macro divers heaven!) and the crystal clear blue waters of North Komodo (including the amazing Shot Gun & Makassa Reefs) where you can see Manta Rays, Sharks & Turtles!

    Brief Blue Manta Komodo Liveaboard Diving Itinerary 7 days/6 nights

    Day 1 = (0-2 dives) One of the KM Blue Manta crew will be on hand to greet guests at either their Hotel/Airport and transfer them to the deluxe Indonesia scuba diving liveaboard Blue Manta. If (?) ALL guests arrive early, then Blue Manta will be able to depart ahead of schedule - and it may be possible to do a check-out dive at Bidadari, as well as a Komodo night dive at Pulau Sebayor (number of dives dependent on departure time). Once everyone is onboard and checked in, there will be a welcome briefing and vessel orientation before this high end Komodo liveaboard sets sail between 13.00 – 15.00pm.

    Day 2 = (4 dives) South Komodo: Nusa Kode, Cannibal Rock and Torpedo Alley. Fantastic Indonesia macro diving with chances to see Pygmy seahorses, Nudibranchs, Octopus, Frogfish and Flores ray diving with Torpedo Rays! The delightful “Sea apple” can also be spotted here too. Plus Manta Alley, which is one of the best Komodo Manta Ray dive sites, where if you are lucky - it is possible to do some magical Komodo Manta ray diving!

    Days 3 = (4 dives) North Komodo: World class Flores diving at Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, Shot Gun and Gili Lawa. Pinnacles offering amazing fast current Indonesia drift diving full of action where it is possible to do Komodo shark dives and maybe see Grey reef sharks and Whitetip reef sharks if you are lucky?! Enjoy a thrilling rollercoaster ride at “shot gun” where you can see Manta rays and Giant trevally. Day 3 ends with some quality Komodo night diving.

    Day 4 = (4 dives) North Komodo: Five star Indonesia diving at Tatawa Besar & Kecil, Siaba Kecil and Wainilu. Simply wicked diving Komodo - with lots of Anthias, Napoleon Wrasse, Sharks plus more and a top Flores night dive!

    Day 5 = (4 dives) North Komodo: Batu Balong with chances for some five star Komodo shark dives with Reef sharks and Makassar Reef to hopefully dive with Manta Rays.

    Day 6 = (2 dives) North Komodo: Final two dives of this first class Komodo diving liveaboard trip at Siaba Bay and Mawan or Pengah. There will then be time to visit one of the local islands to do a bit of trekking in search of the Komodo Dragons. Then it’s back onboard to wash your dive gear and set sail back to Labuan Bajo. While sailing back to Bajo Port for late evening – it is also sometimes possible to see clouds of hunting bats against a beautifully lit twilight sky.     Gratis land transfers are provided on the day of departure from Sorong Airport/Guest Hotels to the five star Raja Ampat liveaboard Blue Manta, which is docked at Sorong Harbour. Although no diving is scheduled for the first day, IF (?) ALL guests arrive BEFORE 10.00am – it may be possible to plan a check-out dive & a night dive.

    Returns 07.00am, last day Sorong Harbour, West Papua

    Guests will check out after breakfast after bidding farewell to new dive buddies and the KM Blue Manta crew. Gratis land transfers are provided from this high class Raja Ampat diving liveaboard to local Hotels in Sorong if guests are continuing their West Papua diving vacation OR to Sorong Airport for pre-booked flights to Manado/Makassar/ Jakarta.

    Last dive ends at 12 Noon on the second-to-last day

    This is in order to comply with Flying After Diving Recommendations, which stipulate a minimum pre-flight surface interval of 18 hours before flying after diving. On the cruise back to Port on this luxury Sorong diving liveaboard – guests will have all the time in the world for washing and drying equipment and for chilling out!

    Day 1 = (0-2 dives) A Blue Manta Representative will meet guests at Sorong Airport/Guest Hotels and transfer them to Sorong Harbour, where the top Raja Ampat scuba diving liveaboard Blue Manta will be awaiting their arrival. Once onboard guests will receive a very warm welcome and yacht orientation & briefing - before this premium Indonesia liveaboard sets sail for the South Raja Ampat Misool area in the afternoon sun at 15.00pm! Dinner will be served. Please note that it will ONLY be possible to dive on the first day if all guests arrive BEFORE 10.00am. This is because for all Raja Ampat liveaboard safaris – it takes a minimum of 4 hours to reach the first dive sites. So if everyone arrives early it may be possible to schedule two dives on the first day.

    Day 2 = (4 dives) World-class West Papua scuba diving In the vicinity of Daram Island.

    Day 3 = (4 dives) Five star Raja Ampat diving at Whale Rock, Tank Rock and Nudi Rock - a great dive site for Indonesia shark diving followed by a quality Raja Ampat night dive.

    Day 4 = (3 dives) Misool: top class Four Kings diving at Magic Mountain hopefully for Raja Ampat Manta Ray dives (fingers crossed), The Window and Boo Corner (good for Napoleon wrasse), before KM Blue Manta sails under the stars overnight to North Raja Ampat.

    Day 5 = (4 dives) Yanggefo Island: Amazing dives at Deep Rock, Mayhem Ridge and West Papua macro diving between the beautiful soft corals of Citrus Ridge in search of Pygmy seahorses. Includes night diving Raja Ampat with a night/dusk dive!

    Day 6 = (4 dives) Manta Sandy (as the name suggests one of Raja Ampat’s best Manta Ray dive sites), Mansuar Corner & Four Kings drift diving at Cape Kri. Night dive.

    Day 7 = (4 dives) Spectacular Indonesia diving at Sardine Reef, Manta Spa, Blue Magic finishing with a great night dive.

    Day 8 = (2 dives) For the final two dives of their Raja Ampat luxury liveaboard diving trip – guests get to choose the dive sites! The premier West Papua liveaboard Blue Manta will then set sail for Sorong Port and on the cruise back guests will be able to chill out, enjoy the breathtaking scenery and wash & dry their equipment.

    Day 9 = (0 dives) 07.00am - Check-out will be after breakfast, but before parting there will be time to say bye-bye to the crew and fellow guests as this first class Raja Ampat liveaboard diving holiday comes to an end. Land transfers at no charge are included from this high end Four Kings scuba diving liveaboard to Sorong Airport for those taking a pre-booked domestic flight OR to guest’s chosen Hotel establishment if staying on in Sorong.

The 8 days/7 nights Sorong scuba diving liveaboard itinerary offers the same daily dive program as the 9 days/8 nights Raja Ampat safaris previously described, but with one less day & night onboard and a reduced number of diving days from 8 to 7 – resulting in four fewer dives.   • COVID-19 Indonesia Travel Information

    From the 10th of June 2023 onwards – visitors are no longer required to provide any proof of vaccination for international arrivals and domestic travel within Indonesia.

    Additionally, the Indonesian Government has also extended Visa On Arrival (VOA) to 86 Nationalities who are eligible to enter Indonesia without a visa for up to 30 days, as well as the Visa Exemption Arrangement (VEA) to more ASEAN members. For a complete list of countries and special entities for VOA and VEP please double check with your local Embassy of Indonesia.

    Citizens from Countries/Territories NOT on these lists must apply for and be granted an eVISA (B211A) online BEFORE flying to Indonesia.

    Please Note: Pre travel to Indonesia post COVID-19 – ALL visitors MUST:

    1. Have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months, that it is in good order, has enough available pages and that you are allowed to enter Indonesia. Please check with your local Indonesia Embassy if you are not sure.

    2. Have proof (paper based AND digital) of a return ticket OR a one-way ticket to continue your journey to another country for (VOA & eVISA holders).

    Please note:

    *Fuel Surcharges. Due to rising fuel costs - effective from September 2022 onwards, White Manta and Blue Manta will reluctantly implement the following fuel surcharges:

    Cruises including the Banda Sea / Crossing trips = US$200 PER person.

    Cruises to Komodo, Raja Ampat, Sangalaki = US$150 PER person.

    Scuba Diving Insurance is mandatory for ALL diving trips on KM Blue Manta. We would also strongly suggest that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance. If you do NOT have comprehensive travel insurance or diving insurance then you MUST look at purchasing your own comprehensive scuba diving, accident, medical, baggage and trip cancellation/interruption insurance before joining an Indo scuba diving liveaboard cruise.

    Dive Computers are mandatory on ALL Blue Manta diving liveaboard tours. If you do not have your own dive computer then one can be rented onboard for US$12 per day.

    For South Komodo scuba diving liveaboard cruises where the water temperature can be between 22‐26 Degrees Celsius - we would highly recommend that you bring a 5mm full-length wetsuit.

    In case of any unforeseeable flight and/or baggage delays – for all Komodo scuba diving liveaboard safaris it is highly recommended that guests spend one night in Bali BEFORE the trip.

    In case of any unforeseeable flight and/or baggage delays - for all Raja Ampat diving liveaboard cruises it is highly recommended that guests spend one night in a local hotel in Jakarta/Makassar/Manado BEFORE the trip - to avoid missing their connecting domestic flight.
