Cabins

On her premier Indonesia liveaboard tours – the graceful Mutiara Laut very comfortably sleeps up to 18 guests in her 7 lavish ensuite cabins (4 deluxe, 2 superior and 1 master cabin) - each containing a large double bed.  The 6 superior & deluxe cabins are located on the lower deck, feature porthole windows and are generous in size at 18m2. The 4 deluxe cabins are also equipped with an extra single bed, allowing for twin share or triple occupancy (ideal for lone travellers or families with a child). The 1 master cabin is proudly situated at the back of the main deck and is opulent in space at 26m2.  Facets include numerous windows, sofa, desk, wardrobe and it even has its own outdoor lounge/sundeck area! Indo liveaboard divers will be indulged - not only by the high level of comfort, but also with the sheer choice of number one Indonesia scuba diving liveaboard itineraries.  This is because Mutiara Laut offers close to 20 first class Indonesia liveaboard diving holidays from Bali to Raja Ampat & beyond - encompassing Komodo, Alor, Banda, Seram, Raja Ampat and Triton Bay!  

Yet with so many Indo liveaboard diving itineraries available (some of which only depart once or twice a year), many scuba diving liveaboard holiday divers are confused by all the different options and have a very hard time choosing an itinerary.

We have therefore taken the liberty of only including three of the most popular Indonesia diving itineraries, which account for the majority of MSY Mutiara Laut charters liveaboard trips each year.

Those lucky enough to join Mutiara Laut on one of her five star Komodo liveaboard scuba diving itineraries, will also partake in a bonus mini trek through the savannah like scenery.  For many this is one of the highlights of any Komodo diving liveaboard tour – catching a glance of the world famous Komodo Dragons!

For those choosing one of her Best of Banda diving liveaboard cruises, during a surface interval in-between the world class Banda Sea diving, guests will have the chance to go ashore on one of the “Spice Islands” - Banda Neira.  Famous for being the sole source of the spices nutmeg & mace until the mid 19th century, the historical town here contains an old fort from the Dutch colonial area – Fort Belgica.  Well worth the visit, atop of this landmark affords stunning views of the 656 metre still active volcano of Gunung Api.

    Brief Mutiara Laut Total Komodo Liveaboard Diving Itinerary 8 days / 7 nights

    Day 1 = (0 dives) Guests will be greeted at the Airport by one of the crew and transferred to the awaiting premier Labuan Bajo liveaboard Mutiara Laut. While enjoying a welcome drink and becoming accustomed to this deluxe Indonesia scuba diving liveaboard – the crew will porter each guest’s luggage to his or her cabin. Once everyone has arrived, there will be a welcome briefing, yacht orientation and a crew introduction before setting sail in the afternoon sunshine to Komodo!

    Days 2 - 6 = A regular dive day on this high end Komodo liveaboard is customarily made up of 2-4 dives per day (depending on the conditions & tour program). Dives will take place at all the top dive sites east of Sumbawa and west of Flores usually including:

    Bima Bay which affords five star Indonesia muck diving, offering opportunities for fantastic Sumbawa underwater macro photography - with chances to see Mimic & Wonderpus octopus, Frogfish, Zebra crabs, Ghost pipefish, Nudibranch and many other wonderful critters!

    Sangeang Volcano offers Flores Sea black sand diving spectacularly illuminated by a colourful array of bright soft corals, sea fans, anemones & black coral bushes, amid which Indonesia Pygmy seahorse dives are possible.

    Gili Lawa Laut featuring stunning topside savannah like scenery - amazing Komodo diving lies beneath the alluring shades of turquoise blue water here – with bountiful fish life and truly incredible schools of Snappers, Trevallies & Fusiliers!

    Current City (aka Batu Bolong) with its awesome corals & epic amount of fish is a favourite with Indonesia divers - and is one of the best Komodo National Park dive sites. Currents can be strong here, but also bring with them the potential to see Whitetip sharks and Grey reef sharks Komodo residents of the deeper water here!

    Padar Island presents high quality Flores liveaboard diving – offering excellent Komodo macro dives with Frogfish, Nudibranchs plus many more!

    Day 1 = (0 dives) Mutiara Laut staff will meet and greet guests at the Airport/Guest Hotels and transfer them to the top Sorong scuba diving liveaboard Mutiara Laut. The crew will carefully transfer guest luggage to the respective cabins, while passengers enjoy a welcome drink onboard this high budget Raja Ampat diving liveaboard. Once all guests are onboard at around midday, guests will be introduced to the crew and given a welcome briefing and yacht orientation - before sailing for Raja Ampat and catching the sunset.

    Days 2 - 10 = A usual diving day on the first class West Papua diving liveaboard Mutiara Laut is typically made up of 2-4 dives per day (depending on the trip schedule & diving conditions). All dives will be at five star Papua Barat dive sites encompassing:

    Manta Sandy – presenting wonderful opportunities to dive with Manta Rays at the number one Raja Ampat Manta Ray dive site!

    Airborek Jetty featuring amazing 4 Kings diving, with chances to see Pontohi pygmy seahorses and schooling fish in the shadows of this atmospheric famous Raja Ampat pier dive - offering fantastic West Papua underwater photography!

    The Dampier Strait often citied as the number one Indonesia dive site for fish diversity - with more species of fish than you can shake a stick at! A thick veil of spectacular schools of Bumphead parrotfish, Tunas, Jacks, Sweetlips and Snappers almost conceal the reefs here, while Raja Ampat shark diving is also possible with chances to see reef sharks (Grey, Blacktip & Whitetip) and Wobbegongs.

    Aljui Bay with its pearl farms is one of the best 4 Kings macro dives offering excellent West Papua critter diving! Here you can see Blue-ringed octopus, Ribbon eels, Ghost pipefish plus many other weird & wonderful Indonesia macro critters! The sheltered bay also provides world class Raja Ampat night diving with the possibility to dive with Wobbegong sharks, Epaulette sharks & Bobtail squid if you are lucky under the moonlight.

    Wayag Bay probably Raja Ampat’s/The 4 Kings most photographed bay – with stunning 360 degree views of the lagoon & beautiful atolls combining to make the perfect postcard picture!     Misool and the surrounding area presents top class Raja Ampat diving and maybe the best scuba diving Indonesia has to offer. Featuring alluring seascapes and breathtaking underwater scenery - Papua divers will be enchanted by radiant unspoiled reefs, magnificent sea fan forests, photogenic limestone arched “windows” richly adorned with brilliantly coloured corals and majestic towering seamounts.   • COVID-19 Indonesia Travel Information

    From the 10th of June 2023 onwards – visitors are no longer required to provide any proof of vaccination for international arrivals and domestic travel within Indonesia.

    Additionally, the Indonesian Government has also extended Visa On Arrival (VOA) to 86 Nationalities who are eligible to enter Indonesia without a visa for up to 30 days, as well as the Visa Exemption Arrangement (VEA) to more ASEAN members. For a complete list of countries and special entities for VOA and VEP please double check with your local Embassy of Indonesia.

    Citizens from Countries/Territories NOT on these lists must apply for and be granted an eVISA (B211A) online BEFORE flying to Indonesia.

    Please Note: Pre travel to Indonesia post COVID-19 – ALL visitors MUST:

    1. Have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months, that it is in good order, has enough available pages and that you are allowed to enter Indonesia. Please check with your local Indonesia Embassy if you are not sure.

    2. Have proof (paper based AND digital) of a return ticket OR a one-way ticket to continue your journey to another country for (VOA & eVISA holders).

    Please note:

    *Fuel Surcharges. In the event that there should be a sudden & stable significant hike in the price of fuel – then a fuel surcharge per guest for the whole trip may be applied without prior notice. Charges will vary depending on the trip route/destination.

    Scuba Diving Insurance is required for ALL Indonesia scuba diving safaris on Mutiara Laut. Although Travel Insurance, Medical Insurance, Accident and Repatriation Insurance and Trip Cancellation Insurance are presently not compulsory (subject to change) - we would strongly recommend that you obtain a comprehensive policy covering Travel, Medical, Accident, Repatriation and Trip Cancellation Insurance for all MSY Mutiara Laut diving liveaboard trips. If you have neither comprehensive travel insurance or diving insurance then you would be highly advised to look at obtaining your own comprehensive scuba dive, accident, medical, baggage and trip cancellation/interruption insurance prior to joining any Indo diving liveaboard cruise.

    Dive computers although not presently compulsory – are again strongly suggested for your safety on ALL Mutiara Laut Indonesia scuba diving liveaboard tours. Fuel Surcharges.
